Extol International Inc. has released a new version of its Enterprise Adapter for Innovative IES, a truck transportation-management application from TMW Systems. Extol entered into a partnership with TMW in March of 2011, an arrangement that led to the original TMW-IES Adapter. Enhancements in version 1.2 were designed to give users greater visibility and more rapid interaction throughout the supply chain, Extol said. Users can now mark their final stops as complete unloads on inbound motor carrier load tenders. They can schedule a single program to initiate all inbound activities defined within a communications table. And they can specify a delay period between inbound communications, eliminating the need to schedule multiple jobs. Extol's Enterprise Adapters are intended to provide runtime and design-time interface components which integrate commercial application systems with trading partners, internal apps and business data. TMW's Innovative IES provides real-time information across multiple levels of a company. It is intended to help transportation decision-makers with planning, cost reduction and customer service, according to Extol.
