OnAsset Intelligence Inc., a provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless asset tracking, sensing and control products, has partnered with Sprint to develop dual-mode (CDMA/GSM) tracking technology for global use. OnAsset's Sentry product tracks the location, temperature, pressure, humidity, light, motion, shock and vibration of high-value assets transported by any mode. Sentry keeps customers informed about the location and status of their freight through M2M-based communications with OnAsset's Vision management platform, across the Sprint wireless network. OnAsset said it worked with Sprint for several months to create a dual-mode version of Sentry. The vendor's product line also includes FlightSafe for air-cargo tracking, and ContainerSafe for shipping-container security.
