Aras, a provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software, has made available Centro 3D computer-assisted design viewing technology for the Aras Innovative PLM platform. Developed by Actify, an Aras partner, Centro enables Aras users to access a wide range of 3D and 2D CAD file formats. They can convert, view and share CAD files throughout the organization and global supply chain. The Centro addition is embedded within Aras Innovator 9.3 Service Pack 1. In another company announcement, Aras has developed a new release of Aras Enterprise PLM for SolidWorks Enterprise PDM (Product Design Management). New features include redline Revision Comparison, Dynamic Team Collaboration Security, Enterprise Virtualization, and an improved look and feel to SolidWorks, including a simplified screen design.
