Known as Cargo Connector, the service is dedicated to consignments under 200 kilos. It is currently available in New York and Chicago. It offers air freight forwarders the option of having small consignments picked up and delivered to IAG Cargo's facilities at New York's JFK International and Chicago's O'Hare International airports. Pickup, delivery and screening are being offered at no charge to the customer. IAG Cargo said it launched the service to enhance its small weight-break cargo offering in North America. Once a customer has used the service for the first time, it will automatically be added to the IAG Cargo van's daily pickup route. Drivers will be equipped with mobile devices that enable them to book shipments and provide flight details on the spot. In the process, customers get instant access to all of IAG Cargo's 350-plus worldwide destinations. Cargo Connector is available at the two locations from Tuesday through Saturday of each week.
