Having recently agreed to extend their long-term e-commerce agreement, GSI Commerce will continue to provide online business services to home furnishings retailer Linens 'n Things, including Web technologies, fulfillment, customer care operations, and comprehensive design and interactive marketing services.
Working with GSI, Linens 'n Things has launched multi-channel initiatives, including in-store pickup and an in-store associate ordering system that provides guests with expanded merchandise choices. The company has also expanded its online gift registry capabilities, offered product personalization to customers and launched a Canadian online store. Linens 'n Things uses GSI Interactive for such marketing services as search, affiliate management, e-mail, advertising with comparison shopping engines and Web design.
"Since partnering with GSI in 2003, Linens 'n Things has experienced tremendous growth in its online business, more than doubling the sales generated from its online store," says Robert Homler, executive vice president of merchandising.
Linens 'n Things operates 573 stores in 47 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
In an earlier, unrelated development, GSI Commerce signed a long-term agreement with VF Corporation to provide its Nautica and Kipling apparel and accessories brands with technology, customer care, order processing and fulfillment services.
The Nautica and Kipling Web stores are expected to launch with GSI in 2008.
