As CDP Supply Chain's scoring partner, FirstCarbon evaluates information provided by participating suppliers to determine a company's disclosure and performance score. The methodology is standard across all CDP programs and is developed through consultation with scoring partners, responding companies and others. The scores allow the 54 members of CDP Supply Chain to benchmark performance, examine practices and devise improvements based on the sustainability scorecards developed by FirstCarbon. FirstCarbon said it will score responses from thousands of suppliers in the coming months to determine the quality of disclosure and level of climate-change performance among participating companies. Upon request, FirstCarbon will provide suppliers with a summary report. It will also offer additional insights and analyses into the scoring of their submissions.
