The technology serves as a hub from which core operations of transportation organizations can be managed, data can be stored and analyzed, and critical business processes can be automated. TMW's capability spans the surface-transportation lifecycle, providing users with visibility, control and decision support for processes involved in the movement of freight. TMW's applications currently integrate with Trimble's transportation and logistics systems in many fleets. When combined, the technology will jointly serve more than 3,000 fleets around the world, the companies said. The all-cash purchase price of the deal was $335m.
