Lightning Pick Technologies, a developer of pick-to-light and other systems for order-fulfillment, has released an update of its chief application. Lightning Pick 5.2 contains the option of viewing productivity reports through the internet. It supports users' light-directed and other order-fulfillment systems. The application's LP Management Console gives users access to real-time statistics on picker productivity, order volumes and all system activities. The internet feature provides real-time productivity data for remote users, or those who do not require the full Lightning Pick application on their local computers. The Web-reporting function is intended to optimize daily fulfillment operations, the vendor said. Lightning Pick also offers technology for electronic commerce, returns processing, container routing, radio-frequency and voice-directed picking, and radio frequency identification.
