Drawing on third-party and internal expertise, the program will be offered at various locations in the country. It is geared primarily toward operational management in contract logistics. Modules range from logistics concepts and continuous quality improvement to logistics controlling, project management and conflict resolution. Instructors will include employees of two Chinese universities. Over the course of a year, groups will complete six three-day training blocks roughly every six weeks in addition to their usual work. Participants will alternate between interactive training with external and internal instructors, and individualized tasks. Preparations for further expansion of the academy's activities are underway, DB Schenker said.
