VisibilitySmart provides daily notifications of potential delays, while measuring carriers' on-time performance and reasons for delay with the help of monthly scorecards. It monitors and analyzes live vessel data through the Automated Identification System, sailing schedules, historical route patterns and shipment plans, to anticipate delays. The tool offers coverage of 21 carriers, 3,500 vessels and 800 ports. It monitors three types of delays: skipped ports of call, missed transshipments and late arrivals. It provides a daily e-mail with shipment-delay summaries, in addition to the monthly scorecard detailing carrier performance.
