Customers can now track vehicles and access real-time data from their mobile devices at any location and time of day. They can pinpoint where a vehicle or group of vehicles is located, along with its direction and speed. The app also provides detailed map views and key vehicle data, such as hard-braking events. The new RydeSmart app is free and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or by clicking here. RydeSmart 3.0 uses global positioning system (GPS) technology for managing fleets and vehicle performance. It consists of hardware and a software unit which is installed in the vehicle and connects to existing computer and diagnostic systems. In addition, it provides a playback showing a vehicle's 48-hour history, information on traffic conditions in real time, and analytics on vehicle and driver-performance metrics.
