The Hazmat Placard Finder and Hazmat Label Finder have been made available as free downloads on iTunes. Placard Finder lets users quickly find the hazard class placard needed for a given shipment by entering the U.N. number or name of the hazardous material, select a placard type, choose the material, enter the quantity and add the order to their carts. The tool uses the Department of Transportation's 49 CFR hazardous material table to find the appropriate DOT placards. Label Finder uses the same source to locate the hazard-class labels that are needed for shipment by ground, rail, air or sea.
