Located in Bangkok, the new office will serve businesses within the country and across the Asia-Pacific region, the company said. FedEx Trade Networks now has 17 freight-forwarding locations in the Asia-Pacific region. The company provides end-to-end ocean and air services in key trade lanes. According to FedEx Trade Networks, Thailand's freight-forwarding market has increased in value over the past couple of years, and growth is expected to continue, reaching nearly $3.3bn by 2015. The company is also expanding its FedEx International Direct Priority Ocean service to include Thailand. The service provides ocean delivery to a variety of U.S. destinations from origins in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Europe. Priority Ocean includes freight forwarding, customs brokerage, final delivery and online visibility for both less-than-containerload and full-containerload cargoes.
