Dubbed Crowley Fresh, the facility is being operated in conjunction with Customized Brokers, the company's Miami-based customs brokerage. It was designed to store and handle import and export perishables arriving from Latin and South America, the Caribbean, Asia and the Far East. The facility can be used for perishables storage or as an in-transit point for consolidation and deconsolidation. Crowley Fresh features forced-air pre-cooling, which can be adjusted to meet varying temperature requirements. It offers 400,000 cubic feet of refrigerated space, as well as additional storage area for cargo supplies and non-refrigerated materials.
