A&D Global Traceability and Containment consolidates genealogy and tracing data from various systems within the plants to prevent non-conforming product from entering the supply chain. Events are extracted from manufacturing systems across multiple business units and geographies, then consolidated into a single global repository. As a result, Apriso said, various sites can collaborate quickly to identify and resolve quality and compliance issues. In the event of a quality failure, the system helps to orchestrate container activities across plants, to prevent non-conforming items from "escaping" into the supply chain and reaching the end user. It aids A&D manufacturers in meeting regulatory mandates, such as NDAA 2011 and international quality-management standards such as AS9100.
