The service allows freight forwarders and customs brokers to connect and exchange shipment data and documents with air carriers. OneView formerly was known as IES Enterprise Forwarder Solution, acquired by Descartes when it bought Integrated Export Systems and IES Asia Limited in June of 2012. OneView provides a comprehensive application for forwarders, brokers and non-vessel operating common carriers. Now equipped with fully integrated air-messaging services which draw on Descartes' Global Logistics Network, OneView allows for the electronic exchange of air waybills, house bills and status messages with more than 90 air carriers. In the process, Descartes said, users can standardize and automate air-cargo and freight-management operations, meet global trade requirements, provide real-time shipment-status monitoring, transmit accurate tracking updates to customers, minimize carrier charges for security and documentation services, and participate in such air-cargo industry initiatives as eFreight and Cargo2000.
