Ingram Micro Mobility will offer device-lifecycle services on a global scale. The new group combines Ingram Micro's existing mobile operations with BrightPoint, a provider of device-lifecycle services, which it acquired in October of 2012. Ingram Micro Mobility is offering "end-to-end" services covering the lifecycle of mobile devices. They include moving mobile products from manufacturing, providing customization services, fulfilling through all channels, managing transportation and logistics, and providing integrated reverse and recover services. In the process, Ingram Micro said, BrightPoint product vendors can gain access to new selling channels. In addition, the joint capabilities can be marketed in a single offering to new markets, including Vietnam, the Philippines, South Africa, China, Hong Kong, France, Latin America and Canada.
