Following on the heels of FESCO Transport Group's recent acquisition of ESF Euroservices B.V., a Baltic feedership operator with service between continental Europe and Russia, FESCO North America says it will now offer weekly containerized service to Western Russia from various points in North America.
The rotation includes weekly calls at the ports of Montreal, New York, Norfolk, Charleston and Houston via Rotterdam to Saint Petersburg, Russia. The vessels call at Delta Terminal in Rotterdam, which includes a 10-day transit time from the East Coast and 15 days from Houston. The transit time from Rotterdam to Saint Petersburg is 6 days.
Known as FESCO ESF Limited, the newly formed merger offers fully integrated container shipping and handling services between ports in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Russia, Finland and Baltic States.
FESCO also operates an extensive rail network in the Russian Far East, which provides shippers with comprehensive intermodal services, including short-sea port transportation in the Baltic region, Russia's main gateway for containerized imports.
Established in 1880, The Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO) is based in Vladivostok and is Russia's largest container operator. It has a fleet of 72 vessels.
