According to the vendor, it allows users to make better decisions through access to real-time data, events and exception-management alerts. Social S&OP unites communication across key elements of the S&OP process, including sales forecasts, financial objectives, distribution schedules, product lifecycle assessments and inventory levels. Its exception-management engine utilizes alerts and workflow types to bring all team members up to date on project status. It can also inform users of relevant day-to-day news feeds. Social postings can occur between people, applications and elements such as Web services and news feeds, Infor said.
