The tool offers a real-time view of an aircraft design's performance, in addition to integrated engineering capabilities, from design and simulation to part-fabrication planning and resource programming preparation. In another company announcement, Dassault has released SolidWorks Education Edition 2013-2014. It includes new functionality to simplify design tasks, enabling students to create models more quickly and easily, and expand collaboration between users. Qualified schools can obtain SolidWorks Student Education licenses at no charge for use by their students. Finally, Dassault has launched Target Zero Defect, an application which provides a collaborative environment to eliminate defects throughout the product-development process. It connects design, engineering and manufacturing disciplines across all partners and suppliers. The tool also offers virtual design and simulation for all stages of product creation, from conceptual design to virtual manufacturing.
