SEPA is the payment-integration initiative of the European Union; its goal is the simplification and harmonization of ACH and direct-deposit (DD) payments. Mandatory as of February, 2014, SEPA establishes a payment standard for the 17 Eurozone members, as well as for 15 other countries. Tipalti said its support of SEPA allows users to access a greater range of payment options. They include advertising and affiliate networks, online marketplaces and monetization networks. Tipalti helps companies to streamline the international payment process, as well as comply with anti-money-laundering regulations by automatically collecting tax forms from each payee, and scanning each payment against government blacklists.
