The tool works with any type of paper form or document, without the need for manual pre-sorting or manual keying. FlexiCapture extracts data from structured and semi-structured forms, unstructured documents and any combination of several document types, the vendor said. In the process, it provides accurate data for input into databases and a wide range of business systems and processes. Version 8.0 is designed for users in a variety of industries, including banking, insurance, education, healthcare, accounting and legal. The application offers an intuitive, customizable interface which guides operators through each processing step. After scanning or importing images from hot folders, FlexiCapture classifies the incoming mix of pages by document type. Data are then automatically located, extracted and validated, using rules or database look-up. Extracted information is verified and exported to external databases, files, business applications or document-management systems.
