The 33,000-square-foot facility features CCTV and security-access controls, the company said. It offers X-ray screening, bonded storage and refrigerated capabilities. The staff includes dangerous-goods safety advisers. The location will be used for the consolidation of air cargo to and from other U.K. locations on a round-the-clock basis, UTi said. It will include space for contract logistics activities, to complement the company's freight forwarding and customs brokerage operations. UTi's services also include inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and distribution.
