The software was developed expressly for auto-parts distributors, jobbers and related businesses. The new version is hosted on a virtual server located in an Epicor data center. Users get access to nightly backups, ongoing software updates, round-the-clock server monitoring and protection from viruses, malware and other threats, Epicor said. The application draws on the Epicor Watchdog ISS Internet security service and Kaspersky anti-virus engine, with anti-virus and anti-spyware software from SonicWALL. Epicor also offers enterprise resource planning, retail management, supply-chain management and human-capital management software.
