Customers can access the new tools through the company's Strategic Consulting Services (SCS) group. They can capture, analyze and act on fleet data for real-time benchmarking, optimization and fleet "right-sizing" via cargo rationalization, GE Capital said. Customers of outsourced fleet-management services can access the vendor's data warehouse, which includes detailed maintenance, fuel and accident information for more than 800,000 vehicles. They can also make customized comparisons of how their fleets are performing in relation to others of similar size and composition, and compare benchmarking data across any stage of their fleets' life. Cargo rationalization yields improvements in productivity, safety, cost of ownership and environmental performance, GE Capital said.
