The deal allows the two companies jointly to develop and offer new logistics products to the perishables marketplace. Both entities currently serve multiple facets of the industry, including fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, meat and poultry. Greg Martin, senior vice president of air logistics with Kuehne & Nagel North America, said the deal with Commodity Forwarders will allow the company to meet the needs of customers, including those requiring services on the U.S. West Coast. The Kuehne & Nagel Group operates at approximately 1,000 locations in more than 100 countries, providing sea freight, airfreight, contract logistics and overland services.
