The tool is available in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. At the same time, Fleetmatics is introducing three new products: Fleetmatics REVEAL, a business-intelligence-based app for small and mid-sized businesses; REVEAL+, which extends REVEAL to larger customers, and WORK, a field-service management tool. The various elements of the platform can help businesses to maximize their return on fleet and mobile workforce investments, the vendor said. The SaaS delivery model eliminates the need for up-front investment. It also allows Fleetmatics to collect and analyze data from its customer base of approximately 22,000 service fleets, then deliver historical and benchmarking information back to its customers. REVEAL utilizes global positioning system tracking, with features such as native apps for iPhone and Android.
