The online hub is aimed at the new generation of procurement professionals who are looking to advance their careers, develop their skills and expand their professional networks. It was founded by the backers of procurement consultancy The Faculty, and procurement recruitment specialist The Source. Procurious aims to have 100,000 members within 18 months, and 200,000 within five years. According to founder Tania Seary, the new network was created to help procurement professionals collaborate and ensure that they are more collectively valued. The venture will include groups and discussion forums, news tips and advice, access to online and off-line events, and a range of mobile and desktop-accessible e-learning modules. Procurious, which is live now but will officially launch with all features in September, is intended to bridge the gap between networking, thought leadership and technical information, Seary said.
