The transportation management system market surpassed the $1bn mark for the first time in 2006, and the market is poised to grow at least 7 percent in 2007, based on year-to-date results.
"The TMS market has grown faster than we've predicted the past two years, fueled by continued demand for global trade management solutions, a reinvigorated market for fleet management solutions, increased sales to logistics service providers, and strong activity in Europe and in the small and mid-sized business segment," says Adrian Gonzalez, director of ARC's Logistics Executive Council and author of the new study, Transportation Management Systems Worldwide Outlook.
ARC is forecasting the TMS market to exceed $1.5bn by 2011, representing a compounded annual growth rate of 7.3 percent.
