The new version allows plant operations personnel to focus on more value-added activities instead of dealing with ongoing baseline operations, the company said. It has made enhancements in the areas of advanced process control, manufacturing execution systems and petroleum supply chains. New capabilities in Aspen DMC3 software enable the process controller to address a broader range of operating conditions. Aspen Petroleum Schedule adds Pipeline Scheduling, which, combined with Dock Scheduling addresses, provides complete petroleum-scheduling capability within a single application. Aspen PIMS-AO software now includes new optimization capabilities that enable feedstock planners more quickly to identify the most profitable solution.
