The two new apps provide for the management of transportation and global trade in a single, unified platform. They are rapidly deployable in a phased manner by Oracle Consulting or specialized partners in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. At the same time, Oracle has developed Oracle Yard Management, an extension to the vendor’s Value Chain Execution suite. It helps organizations to maintain continuous control of their distribution material flow, the company said. Oracle Yard Management manages and tracks the movement of trailers and their contents in the yards of distribution centers, production campuses and transportation terminals, among other locations. It was designed for companies with larger facilities using Oracle Warehouse Management, as well as for smaller sites using Oracle Inventory Management.
