Purolator USA has introduced a service for small-package delivery within the U.S. The offering gives U.S. business customers several ways to consolidate intra-U.S. small-package shipments within Purolator's U.S.-to-Canada services. Introduction of the U.S. Domestic Service Small-Package product marks the re-emergence of the Purolator brand in the U.S. market. Purolator Courier began U.S. domestic operations in 1947, serving that market until a wave of industry consolidation in the late 1980s. Purolator Courier continued to operate in Canada; in 1998, it bought back the right to use the Purolator name in the U.S. In more recent years, Purolator USA has focused on cross-border services and the building of a regional branch network. The company also announced that a new service option is being offered for the most urgent shipments to Canada. Next Day AM Express Canada covers major market areas with delivery by noon. Other options of the new service include Next Day 12:00PM, Next Day 3:00PM, 2nd Day, and Ground (one to six days), all guaranteed and available for both expedited and deferred delivery requirements.
