The enterprise resource planning (ERP) package now supports the rental of products and assets such as medical, oil and gas, mining, construction and heavy equipment. It also includes eight new mobile applications. Analytics built into JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Rental Management help to reduce reporting time, analyze utilization trends and provide insight into equipment profitability. The tool supports all aspects of a rental service, including contracts and agreements, equipment handling and item commitments to inventory, reservations for future rentals, and rental cost allocation. The eight new mobile applications extend JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to smartphones and tablets. They allow for the use of mobile devices for reviewing the general ledger, invoice, receipt and voucher transactions within a batch, and approving the batch to be posted. The apps are available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play. Additional enhancements to the software include on-premises reporting for wine operations, and support for Java AMI for XPI Web Services for business-services integration.
