The deal combines carrier-tracking capability from FourKites with hosted transportation-management software from Aljex. As a result, Aljex customers gain access to much of the same real-time truck locations and estimated times of arrival as carriers themselves, without leaving the Aljex system. FourKites has agreements with leading telematics providers to the trucking industry, including Omnitracs and PeopleNet. FourKites only requires authorization from the individual carrier to make the carrier's tracking information available to brokers in real time. The information, now available on Aljex screens, includes pickup confirmation, geo-fencing data, real-time locations and ETAs.
