The Cargomatic Free Flow Program allows containers from multiple shippers to be grouped in designated stacks at the ports. The system then alerts pre-vetted carriers when a container from that stack is available, and advises them where to look for it and where it needs to go. Once a shipment is delivered, the Cargomatic app presents the driver with a list of nearby empty containers for the return trip to the port. Cargomatic said it is reviewing a limited number of applications from prospective shippers and carriers who wish to take part in the new program.
