The deal integrates hardened satellite connectivity into the Globe Tracker product. The companies said they were responding to increasing customer demand for continuous global visibility of intermodal containers and real-time cargo alarms that are outside the scope of cellular communications coverage in remote areas. They intend to have the technologies integrated within the next 60 days. GIT Satellite Communications provides design, integration and specialty systems to global markets.
