Integrated with SAP ECC, the tool draws on cloud-based applications delivered to the Ariba Network. Companies can enable a closed-loop process that allows for faster responses to sourcing requests triggered by their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, the vendor said. Users can streamline the process for demand-driven sourcing, reduce duplicate data entry, extend the strategic sourcing process to cover a greater portion of their spend, and eliminate custom integration work. They can search for information needed to guide sourcing projects through a newly designed user interface and "consumer-like" search capabilities. Procurement departments can synchronize supplier data and manage it in a single location, Ariba said.
