5000 project cargo and traditional breakbulk cargo logisticians and 340 exhibiting companies will take part in the 26th annual Breakbulk Americas Exhibition from October 5-8 2015 at the George R. Brown Convention Center Houston TX USA, making Breakbulk Americas 2015 the largest transportation and logistics event in North America. Similar to Breakbulk Americas 2014, the upcoming event will attract logisticians from over 75 countries, creating a fertile environment for global cargo connections and business development. The theme for this year’s event is Solutions for Tomorrow to celebrate the addition of new, hands-on, how-to content into the exhibition hall, workshop and conference program.
Business Development Activities
At Breakbulk Americas, project cargo and traditional breakbulk cargo owners have the opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends and to meet and develop relationships with the leading specialized carriers, freight forwarders, ports/ terminals, packers and equipment companies that have the expertise to handle oversized cargoes requiring unique handling techniques. Professional Formation Activities
Educational activities include the Heavy Lifting & Transport MasterClass, the Certificate in Project Forwarding and Breakbulk Education Day for Students & Industry Freshmen. In addition, new Microseminars on Chartering and Contract Negotiation have been added to teach best practices in transport and logistics. The Executive Presentations, open to all delegates and held on the Breakbulk Americas Exhibition Floor, provided executive-level strategy, data, analysis and trending. The Day One Opening Session is an Industry Outlook from the EPC Perspective (Procurement Executive Group Industry Outlook) presented by Peter Jessup, Group Vice President Supply Chain Management, Amec Foster Wheeler & John Mika, Global Director of Procurement, Oil & Gas Group, CB&I.
