Developed jointly with transportation-management software provider 3GTMS, PC-MILER/Rates provides shippers, brokers and third-party logistics providers with real-time rate calculations and options for multiple less-than-truckload and small-package carriers. Customers receive information to assist in carrier selection and manage the cost aspect of their transportation services. The new tool populates carrier and rate information by having users enter their shipment information, including weight, freight, class and origin/destination. The cloud-based application then simultaneously retrieves multiple rates and detailed carrier information. Rates can be chosen immediately or exported for additional analytics or research. In another company announcement, ALK Maps is now available within the Oracle Transportation Management Cloud and on-premise versions 6.4.0 and higher.
