The volume rating technology has been integrated by Sunset Pacific Transportation, the largest LTL consolidator in Southern California. According to project44, fulfilling volume rate requests via its Freight API tool eliminates the need for a carrier to respond manually to quote requests. At the same time, it said, Sunset Pacific can communicate more effectively with a broader scope of customers. In another company announcement, project44 is partnering with Revenova, LLC, creator of a multimodal transportation-management system (TMS) deployed on the Salesforce cloud platform. The deal enables LTL rate shopping, tendering and reconciling of invoices across hundreds of LTL carriers through a single TMS platform. Shippers, brokers and 3PLs can apply project44 freight rating, dispatch, tracking, imaging and integration capabilities directly to their existing Salesforce workflows, while drawing on Revenova’s transportation-management capabilities.
