This year, AA Cargo will focus on boosting the amount of perishables transiting into and through the DFW hub, which moves a variety of perishable commodities, including produce, Chilean salmon and fresh-cut flowers. The carrier is operating a new drive-through perishable facility of nearly 4,000 square feet, in addition to its current 1,800 square-foot perishable and 800 square-foot pharmaceutical coolers at DFW. In addition, AA Cargo has invested in the expansion of its cold-chain network in San Juan (SJU), with a new 600 square-foot space. The move brings its total cooler space at the location to 1,000 square feet. At SJU, AA Cargo offers both refrigerated storage and controlled room temperature spaces dedicated to pharmaceutical goods.
