The action makes FourKites' tracking technology available to users of McLeod's PowerBroker for end-to-end broker management. FourKites is integrated with more than 40 providers of electronic logging devices (ELD) and global positioning systems (GPS) supporting the trucking industry. ELD will be required on virtually all trucks by the end of next year, FourKites noted. The company's recently launched app-less tracking technology uses cell-tower triangulation that works on virtually any cell phone, the vendor said. Integration with the McLeod app eliminates the need for check calls to drivers and dispatchers.
