Under the new arrangement, StreetScan will deploy TomTom Bridge in its fleet of roadway inspection vans, which help cities to monitor, maintain and repair roads. TomTom Bridge is a rugged navigation device built for vehicle fleets, connecting business applications with TomTom maps, traffic and navigation software. StreetScan’s vans are equipped with patented acoustic, radar and optical sensing technology to detect surface and subsurface roadway conditions. By partnering with the TomTom Bridge technology platform, StreetScan can dispatch custom routes directly to its fleet, and operate the vans more efficiently, the partners said. The TomTom Bridge device features a seven-inch screen, fully customizable Android interface and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It comes with lifetime TomTom Maps and TomTom Traffic.
