Accenture said the deal, upon completion, will add operations analytics professionals who can apply machine learning and optimization techniques for clients across multiple industries. Founded in 2012, OPS Rules is led by David Simchi-Levi, professor of engineering systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He and his team will join Accenture Analytics, part of Accenture Digital, and will also be a part of Accenture’s Data Science Center of Excellence. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Accenture previously acquired Gapso, an advanced analytics and services provider based in Brazil.
