The tool consists of pre-configured, out-of-the-box best practices, to help users build in product and process quality using PTC Windchill, the company’s product lifecycle management (PLM) software. In addition, PTC is partnering with USDM Life Sciences, a global professional services firm for life science and healthcare organizations, to help medical device companies address the industry’s stringent regulatory requirements. USDM’s Validation Accelerator Packs (VAPs) for PLM platforms, using PTC Windchill, are a complete set of validation document templates. PTC’s Medical Device Industry VRD supports USDM’s Validation Accelerator Pack for PTC Windchill, to assist in validating the PTC application’s compliance with FDA regulations for the design and development of medical devices.
