Cathay Pacific Cargo recently introduced an eighth weekly flight at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport. The new flight is the first roundtrip between Hong Kong and DFW, providing dedicated, direct service. Seven other flights by the cargo operator fly from Hong Kong to DFW to Atlanta, then back to Hong Kong. The new frequency follows the addition of three weekly flights by Cathay Pacific Cargo in July and August of last year. The additional 747 flight marks the first time in the airport's history that 50 weekly widebody cargo flights are arriving at DFW, officials said. Since 2002, DFW has seen annual growth of 22 percent in the Asian market. The latest addition brings to 39 the number of freighters calling DFW weekly. The airport also hosts nine weekly freighters to Europe and two to Mexico.
