The five-year agreement for development of Driver4Schenker is exclusive within Europe. It uses uShip PRO, the company’s technology backbone, to automate and optimize the management of 25,000 approved carriers and the execution of up to 10,000 loads per day through DB Schenker’s over-the-road trucking network. The application also allows any business with freight to create its own private network of vetted carriers. The feature provides transparent carrier reviews, using shipment-level offer pricing along with mobile shipment acceptance and additional truck capacity. The Drive4Schenker private network brings together some 25,000 approved carriers and thousands of active loads, the partners said. UShip helps to match both sides through real-time bids and offers, automated booking and payment, mobile tracking and status alerts, carrier qualification monitoring and performance reports.
