The fully integrated, in-cab video system is used by fleets to train drivers and mitigate liability risks associated with accidents and other critical events, such as hard braking, hard stops, loss of stability control and improper following distance. The video is integrated with Omnitracs' Critical Event Reporting, providing front-facing and optional driver-facing video to monitor events in transit. Information includes the time and location of the event, and the truck's actual speed at the time. The driver-facing camera option automatically disengages through integration with Omnitracs' Hours of Service feature, allowing drivers to preserve their privacy while off duty. Companies can capture high-quality video that can be reviewed within minutes of the triggered event. Customers can also request video for specific dates and times to assist in investigations of incidents that might have occurred without triggering a critical event.
