LLamasoft, Inc., a vendor of supply-chain network design software, has partnered with Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA), a consulting firm serving the retail, consumer products and healthcare industries, to provide enhanced network-design services. According to the two companies, the venture will focus on companies' growing need to address inefficiencies in their supply chains, with a particular focus on cost reductions and customer-service improvements. Under the alliance, KSA will provide its clients with LLamasoft's Supply Chain Guru technology for simulation and optimization. In return, LLamasoft will offer its customers access to the consulting expertise of KSA. Supply Chain Guru allows users to simulate proposed changes and optimize the structure for cost and profitability.
