Supply-chain management might not be a sport, but it can benefit from the use of “playbooks” for shoring up security.
The Department of Homeland Security has launched the Information Communication Technology Supply Chain Task Force, a public/private initiative to devise strategies for supply-chain security. Chief among those ideas is the creation of a “playbook” that lays out the steps to be taken to prevent and react to security breaches, especially cyber threats. On this episode, we learn about how to create a playbook from Matan Or-El, chief executive officer and co-founder of Panorays. He lays out the fundamentals of an effective strategy for dealing with cyber security, especially among the supplier base. And while efforts in that direction are growing, so are threats to the supply chain. “It’s kind of a race,” Or-El says. Hosted by Bob Bowman, managing editor of SupplyChainBrain.
